Dr. Cesar Mena earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Sydney, a program known internationally for its strong focus on exotic animal care and hands-on clinical training. His veterinary journey has taken him around the world—from caring for elephants in Thailand to treating native Australian wildlife like reptiles, marsupials, and exotic birds. His professional interests include exotic animal medicine, internal medicine, and preventive care. As a native Floridian, he’s excited to bring his skills to the local community. Dr. Mena is known for his thoughtful, compassionate approach and his belief that every animal—no matter how complex or uncommon—deserves gold-standard care. Outside of work, he is an avid aquarist, and enjoys scuba diving, aquaculture, science fiction, and spending time with his beloved turkey Jarnathan, his Pom-Chi sidekick Ezri and the rest of his many beloved pets great and small.
